Ready to jump back in with Snowmen

My break is winding down and I'm ready to get back into my routine. I'm going in tomorrow to get some cleaning done before the kiddos get back. While I'm there I will be covering the kids' tables with white contact paper. Thanks for the inspiration Kristen! To see her post about contact paper on tables, click here.

Meanwhile, I've been busy getting some planning done for snowman activities. Since I love my followers and bloggy friends, I made a freebie to go with the poem The Chubby Little Snowman! However, I have no idea how to convert it to a PDF or upload it. HELP! I really want to be able to share with you, so please let me know how to do this!
Until then, here are some things I plan on doing in the next few weeks:

Interactive writing from KinderbyKim

I love interactive writing! My children love it too, so I always try to make word walls like this so they can reference them while they are writing.

Another interactive writing idea from Kinderbykim
I've done this interactive writing with my class as Spider Spaghetti when we read Miss Spider's Tea Party and this will be the first time I'm doing Snowman Salad. With it being so cold here, I might change it to Snowman Soup...

The fabulous Mrs. Jump has made another wonderful unit with some really CUTE activities that you can check out here .
She also has some cute snowman freebies you can grab on her blog! Thanks, Deanna for  another great unit and some awesome freebies :)

Oh, and can I just say I got no sleep last night thinking about the Organization Project going on at CFC. I kept imagining how wonderful it would be to have all of my nooks, crannies, drawers and cabinets organized and cleaned out. Then that led to how I could rearrange some small things, which led to wanting to rearrange some big things and by  3:30 in the morning I was ready to jump our of bed, get some paper and make a whole new diagram of how I want to rearrange my classroom! I was inspired! Then I realized that I will actually have to do the organizing before I can move anything around. ...Sigh... Back to bed...
The next realization was that I will posting pics of my room and how cluttered it is right now! Can you say embarrassing? Oh well, the worse the before pics are, the better the after pics will look right? ;)
You can read all about the Clutter Free Classroom Project here. Are you going to join in and get organized in 2012?

Winter Cuteness and a Giveaway!

I hope everyone is enjoying your holiday break! I have been enjoying time with my kiddos and catching up on naps since they don't quite grasp the concept of sleeping in. :) I have been spending random moments at night online looking for new ideas to inspire me for the new year and have come across several things that have gotten me excited!
First, check out this calendar for January from Anything But Perfect. OMG, y'all! That little snowman family is too cute!  I will be sending these home in my Kinders folders for snacks, birthdays, and school events. Best of all, it's a FREE download! While you're there, check out her other printables. I could spend a lot (more) time on her site :)

Stacy over at The Land of Aha-Z made the cutest classroom rules posters. There's five of them, and they are so colorful and cute! And FREE! Don't you love freebies? :) I'm not at all thrilled about the ones I currently have, so I've already printed these out and they are on the their way to be laminated tomorrow.

Seriously! How cute are these?! LOVE!

Speaking of cute and colorful, Kristen at Ladybugs Teacher Files is having a blog design giveaway! She has created the cutest blog templates! You know my heart skipped a beat when I saw the pink one! Jump over there now and enter her drawing, but hurry because you only have until New Year's Eve to enter :) Good luck! While your there, go ahead and follow her! She has the best stuff :)

Merry Bloggy Christmas!

Kristen over at Ladybug's Teacher Files has made the cutest little button to share with your blog buddies! You can grab the button here. Since I'm new at all this blogging stuff, I probably won't post it right but I wanted to share with all my blogging friends :)

First I want to say thank you to Kristen for being my first follower! Yay, it made my day to see I had my first follower!
I also want to pass the button to Lindsey for helping me name my blog. Thanks girl!
I have to share with Deanna Jump who has the CUTEST classroom ideas and activities. I love all of her packets on TPT and the freebies she shares on her blog.
There are many more fabulous bloggers who have contributed to my blog addiction so I  will be making my way over to their blogs to send some Holiday cuteness their way.

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's here!

Finally, after many months of blog stalking and staying up way to late on school night to see all the cute ideas other kindergarten teachers have been doing, I have made my own blog. The biggest obstacle for me, was choosing a name. It seems that every name I liked, was already being used. I guess great minds really do think alike :) With a little help from a crafty (and best dressed) teacher I work with, I finally chose a name. I struggled with this name almost as long as I did when naming my children. I didn't think it would take me so long to pick the one that was just right, but I wanted something that reflected a little of my spunky personality, didn't sound so serious, and wasn't so boring that you would forget that you stumbled across this little blog.
Lindsay (my crafty/fashionista friend) suggested I think of something I say a lot and kind of go from there. When you stop to consider all the things we kindergarten teachers say to our kinderkids over and over and over again throughout the day, I thought of a lot of things I shouldn't name my blog like Don't Put That In Your Ear/Nose/Mouth, and This Is You Last Warning. The one thing I do say a lot is "Seriously, how cute is this?" I say it to my co-workers when I find all of the cute things all you wonderful people in blog land have shared, when my kinderkids do or say something really cute, or anytime I find a cute outfit I can put on little  girl.
So here it is! My little piece of blog land where I hope to share with you all the things that get me excited and make squeal "How cute is this!" I hope you find something that gets you inspired and makes you squeal, too.
